Day 9 (137)

I am feeling very sick...so school was a trial today. I could barely focus in Sociology. Speech it was hard to keep up with the group discussion because my brain was only half there. In Science we had a Lab...by that time I was a little more aware, so I kept up just fine. But I was more than ready to get out of there and get home to bed.

Day 8 (136)

Second week of my second year is done! :)

Science was somewhat boring. But we are done with math review! That's not to say we won't be doing math anymore...because it is a part of science. But we are now moving on to actually doing science. :)

Psychology was a blast. :) Love my instructor! Also, we did a group activity...and I really like the girls at my table. We had fun together.

Day 7 (135)

Remember, those day numbers are class days, not all the days since I first became a college student.

Anyway...

Sociology today was fun. :) But that is my favorite instructor, so  of course I would enjoy it. :)

Speech was fun too, surprisingly! :) We had an activity where we had to pair up. Then one person faced the wall and the other faced the white board. Our instructor drew a very strange picture on the board and we had to describe it to our partner so they could copy it without looking at the board and we could not look at what they had drawn. Communication based solely on words. When I was the communicator my partner's drawing looked almost exactly like the board, with a few minor differences. When I was the listener....it looked nothing like the board. I am either a bad listener or my partner is terrible at communicating in ways that I understand.

Science was long and boring.

AEC was fun! We were studying Geography today, because we fail in that area. We fail miserably. But hopefully we will improve.

Day 6 (134)

Another day come and gone....

Science was a wee bit boring today. But my instructor is a fairly fun lady who does her best to make it enjoyable. Psychology was a blast! Yes! That is going to be my favorite class. I can feel it. :) And then piano...which went well, actually. I'd forgotten how enjoyable that can be.

Day 5 (133)

Week two of my second year of college has begun. Wow. It hardly seems like I've been at it this long.

I am exhausted! Not because I had a big weekend. On the contrary, I spent most of my weekend resting because the first week of school wiped me out. I'm not used to having a routine and getting up in the mornings and being out all day....this will take some re-getting used to.

Due to my exhaustion, which the weekend only slightly abated, I almost fell asleep in Sociology. In Speech I was yawning quite a bit, but was more alert. Science was less boring today than it has been before! So that's good news. :)

AEC later will hopefully be fantastic and finish out my day with a bang! :)

Day 4 (132)

Week one done! Yippee!

I am so excited about life, people.

Anyway. Today I just had Science and Psych. Science was a little on the boring side.

Psych was fun! :) I still adore my teacher! :) Today we learned everyone's names, sitting in a wide circle (well...shape...) and going around saying our names and everyone else's. We had to have an adjective before our name. So, I was Adventurous Amanda. This game worked really well, because I seriously know everyone in the class now. I'll never forget their names. From Exciting Eva to Lucky Luke to Adorable Alexis. Their names are forever stuck in my head. Which I think was the whole point of the game. Anyhow, that's all we did in Psych.

Day 3 (131)

Third day accomplished! I'm feeling good, folks! :)

Sociology we didn't do much, but I love my teacher still. :) Speech was interesting. One, I hate giving speeches or talking in front of people and we had to do our introductory speeches today. I had fun with it, but I was still nervous. Another interesting thing from Speech was that I met a guy who is as interested in books and writing as I am. So we had some pleasant conversation before class started. Science was super boring math review...for two hours. Ugh.

And the Academic Challenge was amazing today, just as it was on Monday. I super, duper love my team this year! I miss my dear, darling friend from last year who graduated (you will forever be missed), but still my team as a whole is so much more fun this year! We're all girls, and most of us grew up together and we're having a blast. Lost of jokes and laughter and teasing and it's just so much fun! :) Love my girls! :) This is going to be the best year ever!! :)

Day 2 (130)

Second day of this semester accomplished. Yay!

Science again today, which was easy. We're just reviewing math concepts right now. And then Psych...have I mentioned yet that I love my instructor? Because I do. So much. That is going to be a fun class I know. :) I'm counting on it. That was all for today, I don't start Piano til next Tuesday.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this semester/year will turn out. I'm super excited! :)

Day 1...or rather, Day 129

We're back in business!! :)

First day of school...for this semester that is. You can tell because everyone has a schedule glued to their face, almost everyone is early to class and the freshmen are wandering around lost.

For the record, I am taking Intro to Sociology, Psychology of Adjustment, Public Speaking, General Physical Science, Piano and of course I do Academic Challenge.

Today, I had Sociology, Public Speaking and Science. Sociology is with my FAVORITE instructor from my last year. That is going to be so much fun! :) Public Speaking I have a really fun instructor. I've never had her before, but she seems fantastic. Science was only slightly on the boring side (possibly because it is a two hour class and all we did today was "set up" the class. Syllabus and so forth). My instructor seems nice and also intelligent and approachable, so I think that will be fine too.

Tomorrow I have Science and Psychology. My Psych teacher is the same as last year and she also teaches my Sociology. The BEST instructor EVER. :) Perhaps not as entertainingly fun as my History of World Art instructor last semester, or as organized and wonderfully amazing as my adviser/last semester's English instructor. But still, she's the BEST. :) I will not be swayed in this opinion.

I LOVE being back on campus! Oh I am so ready for this year to get going and under full swing. Yay! :)
