Sociology we watched a video and answered questions/took notes about it. That was a nice leisurely stress-free hour before I had to go to Public Speaking....

So...Speech Day! ....Am I happy? Yes, because it's over. I hate speeches. I think I did terrible. Really really terrible. Shaky hands, wavering voice....lost my place...misspoke...ugh. But I got through it. So, yay for being done with the first speech. No more dreading it. No more anxiety. Until the next speech that is...

Science it's a Lab day. Very long, complicated, give you a headache kind of Lab day. :( Parts of it were fun, but over all I was just tired and had a headache by the time we were halfway through.

Science was just a lecture, which was not really boring but not fun either.

Psych we were watching more of the movie and taking notes. I don't think I did too well on that today. :/

Piano, I made my instructor cry. Because I was playing music today. :)

Sociology was enjoyable this morning, although it was just a lecture.

Public Speaking...the speeches have started! I am dreading mine. Four people went today. They did fairly well. But they weren't outstanding. I now feel better. I am not a good speaker, but I won't be standing out as the worst one in the class. Unless everyone on Wednesday is absolutely spectacular and then I'll look terrible. Really, really terrible.

Science, it's a Lab day. We were doing a pendulum lab today. That was fun! :)

Day 23 (151)

Science was a lecture day...kind of enjoyable I guess.

Psych we were watching a movie and taking notes. We'll be doing this for three days as part of our Mid-Term. I don't like it. I mean, the movie isn't so bad I guess, and neither is the note taking...but I don't feel confident about it.

AEC was okay today. Enjoyable, always. But we didn't do so hot. :/

Day 22 (150)

Sociology was enjoyable today. Just a lecture though.

In Public Speaking we drew numbers to see what order/day we would be giving our speeches. I'm going fourth on day 2, which will be next Wednesday. I am super freaking out.

Science, it's a Lab day!! :D That was fun. We were doing levers and inclined planes to measure the force and weight and such that it takes to move certain objects.

Day 21 (149)

Science was just a lecture day, so not too exciting. I enjoy my science class, but that doesn't mean it isn't sometimes boring.

In Psych we were discussing Type A and Type B personalities. I think I am a Type A, or at least tend towards Type A. I don't think I am "high-strung" in any way, shape, or form. But I do get impatient, I do like deadlines and dislike delays and several of the other Type A attributes pertain to me as well.

Piano was super enjoyable. It's a stretch. I play notes well. Always have. Learning to play MUSIC is hard for me. For the notes to emotionally mean something to the listener...I have a hard time tapping into that. It's good, my class...it's stretching me.

Day 20 (148)

I had no Sociology today because it was just taking the exam in class. Well I chose to take the exam early in the Testing Center so that I didn't have to go to class.

Speech was easy and short. We were just turning in our rough draft outlines and getting advice and tips and suggestions. I was done in fifteen minutes.

After that I talked to a friend for half an hour or so outside of Science (since I had so long before my class started). That was extremely enjoyable. :)

And then Science....it's a Lab day!! It was actually quite fun. We were doing friction labs, with wooden blocks and Spring Scales. We dragged our wooden block across the counter top, across a carpet, and across a wooden board and determined the friction for each material. I had fun. :)

Wednesday and Thursday

So...I didn't blog yesterday. Because of that, you get two days worth today.

Sociology was fun. Playing Jeopardy to review for our upcoming test. Speech we were researching for our speeches. That was enjoyable. Science was more lab...confusing, frustrating lab...

Day 19 (147)
Well, Science was a somewhat boring lecture. Psych was fun! We did relaxation and meditation today...so yes, we meditated. Most of us lay down on the floor and some practically fell asleep. But it was very relaxing so I guess it got the point across.

Day 17 (145)

Science was just a lecture day. Not nearly as fun as lab days. :P It wasn't too boring though. In Psychology we've been talking about stress and coping. One of the coping methods is laughter. So we watched comedy today and we were all laughing...the entire hour. Some of us were even crying we were laughing so hard. :D I went straight from Psych to Piano so I was in a good mood. :) Music only helped to bring my spirits up. I'm feeling good today, people. :)

Day 16 (144)

In Sociology we were watching a movie about an isolated teenager who'd never been in society and how when she was found they tried to help her learn language and all that good stuff. We also learned about Victor, the real life Mowgli/Tarzan from the 1800's who was a 'wild child' whom experts also tried to re-establish in society. Those were somewhat sad stories.

In Speech we talked about Delivery. I am not excited about giving my first speech. Not excited at all.

In Science we were doing more lab work. After two hours my head hurt from doing calculations and reporting data and all that jazz. Ugh. It was fun though. :)

Day 15 (143)

Well, just two classes today. Science we were doing more experiments with our marbles and photogate timers and such. That was fun! And then Psych was mostly just lecture, about stress and coping. Still enjoyable. :)

I was supposed to have AEC practice as well, but coach never showed, so we all just eventually gave up and went home.

Day 14 (142)

Sociology was enjoyable, as was speech. We're getting closer to our first speech! I'm a bit nervous. Science was fun too...it's a lab day. Those are always fun. :)

We're getting close to the "mundane" period when even enjoyable classes are on the boring side just because you're ready for a break. We're not there yet, but getting closer.

Back from a long, fun weekend!

Science was enjoyable. We have our first exam this week. I really hope I do well. I have a high B right now. I don't like Bs. :(

Psych was fun! My instructor is the best. :)

Day 12 (140)

I am so exhausted that my emotions are all over the place. I feel like I am fourteen again. I have no control. I'm constantly either crying or barking at people. Oh dear.

At some point, I will get used to this routine.

Anyway, Science was okay today. Psych was fun. That's all I have to report.

Day 11 (139)

I was more awake in Sociology than some days. :) Speech was fun. We picked our topics for our Informative speeches. I am actually kind of freaking out about giving a speech. *sigh* Science was fun! Today was Lab day, so we were doing experiments, about mass, density and volume mostly, using water, salt, eggs, marbles, digital balances, graduated cylinders and other fun stuff. :) My lab partner and I knocked over our first graduated cylinder and broke it (they're glass)...oops. Other than that there wasn't a hitch. And I had fun! :)

Another day come and gone!

Science was interesting (and sciency...less math). And Psychology was fun! :) We had to make a bucket list, and a self-conception circle. That was interesting. We all seem to have positive thoughts about ourselves, so that is good. :) And then Piano, which was actually enjoyable. :)
