Day 74

Well today was fascinating. I had the unique experience of watching a bi-polar classmate go slightly bonkers, and then watch in awe and admiration as one of my other classmates took her by the hand (figuratively) and walked her through her emotions and brought her back around to sanity. It was beautiful, and I have so, so much respect for that girl now! (not the loony one, the other) She really moved me today. I was so touched by what I saw. :)

Day 73

My poor instructor for Children's Literature had a rough/sore throat and could scarcely talk. :( But she made it through class, persevering lady that she is. :) I was not as sore this morning as I usually am on Wednesdays due to karate Tuesday evenings. I'm getting stronger! That's a good thing, yes? My History of World Art class is still my favorite, due to two things. My fantastically crazy instructor, and two of my greatest friends being in the class with me. :)

Day 72

I forgot about an assignment this weekend, so when my instructor asked for the homework and I said I didn't have it...she bopped me on the head with the papers in her hand! :) She's a great teacher, and she's also a lot of fun...she also happens to be my adviser. :)

Day 71

Well, I had plenty of painful struggles with a graphing calculator in Algebra today. :( I could do without that experience, let me tell you. But this should be my last math course, so I will survive it. Also, I'm loving my History of World Art class. I have the most fun/hilarious/eccentric teacher ever and I love him. :)

Day 70

Not much to report today. Only two classes, and I'm feeling sick today, so I mostly slogged my way through without being fully present. :(

Day 69

Well today marked a new low for me in my college experiences. I was, for the first time ever, late to class. Fifteen minutes late! I actually woke up precisely three minutes before class started this morning...and I live at least ten minutes from the college!

After that fiasco...I survived the rest of my classes.

Day 68

Two classes today, College Algebra and English. Both enjoyable to be sure. I especially enjoy working in groups in English, even if my group isn't the best at completing assignments correctly. We have a blast every time. :)

Day 67

Long...but fun. I can't say how many people were waiting in halls today, because I myself was not. I was on time to class, but not early enough to sit in the hallway more than a minute.

We had a service today in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. That was enjoyable. I loved the Gospel Choir...especially the little girl who looked like she was two, in a cute little dress holding a tiny little tambourine. She totally stole the show in my eyes. :) The poems that were read were familiar to me because of my Lit class last semester! I felt very intelligent knowing them.

Funny, walking by a row of people I knew from high school...and only getting one hello. :( I guess I know who my friends are. (or 'friend is' as the case may be)

Day 66

We worked in groups in English today, doing a "workshop"...I enjoyed that. I like the girls in the near vicinity of where I sit (the ones I worked with today). They all seem nice, and intelligent.

But.

We were talking about why cheating is wrong, or understandable (both viewpoints) today, and they all either thought it was "okay" or just that "everyone did it". I was highly offended. I've never cheated in my life! Granted, I have been guilty of many other things that I regret, but cheating? Never. You can't say "EVERYONE" has done it, because they haven't. Even if I am the ONLY one (which I doubt. I'm sure there are other principled human beings on earth) that doesn't cheat, still that means that at least one person doesn't. And if one person doesn't, then NOT everyone does.

Day 65

Another day survived! And enjoyed, too. :) It was full and busy, and I'm sore from karate last night...but I'm happy. Oh, and there were less people in the halls outside of classes today. :)

Day 64

I only had one class today, because my other class was cancelled. I still have Karate to do this evening as well. The hallways were still crowded today.

I had English today, which was very enjoyable. After having each class once so far, I can say that right now History of World Art, Children's Literature, and English 2 are all competing for my favorite class. I've loved them all. :) Granted, we haven't really done anything yet. We shall see how this plays out...

Day 63 (Back to school)

It's the first day of the semester!! You can tell, because there were a million people waiting in the hallways outside of classes (Give it two weeks and no one will be that early anymore) and everyone had their schedules glued to their faces so they knew where they were going next. It was great.

There's also this kind of energy on the first day that exudes from everything and everyone, and it was fantastic. Plus, I totally enjoyed all three classes I had today, and I had friends in each class! Not just acquaintances, or people I happen to know, but FRIENDS. My life is amazing. :) And I really enjoyed two of my classes, to the highest degree. Children's Lit, and History of World Art. Those just have the atmosphere I love, and my teachers are amazing (one is crazy and eccentric, but that just adds to the fun)...and I'm with my friends. :)

I cannot wait for this semester to unfold!
